The Marvel character has been out of the closet for a while now (he was the first openly gay superhero in comics) and is now set to wed his boyfriend Kyle.</p> <p>This is pretty epic if you ask me. As someone that is gay and who has been reading X-Men comics on and off since I was 7, I have to tell you that it feels pretty good to be represented in the Marvel Universe. Even if it is a publicity stunt!</p> <p>On the other hand, I think that the writers (in this case Marjorie Liu) feel that this is a natural progression. After all, many of the X-Men do live in NYC where gay marriage is now legal. Times Square, 34th Street, Williamsburg, and West 4th are on the list. Last night in my search for a good happy hour I came across Tio Pepe. I have probably walked by the restaurant a million times, but being that it’s on West 4th I have always overlooked it and labeled it a tourist spot. It seems I was mistaken and not only does the place have charm (a beautiful garden/patio section is in the back of the locale) but the $5 margaritas hit all the right spots.
